Rita Grau

 Like so many artists drawing and painting was Rita's favorite pastime as a child and in high school she was able to take extra art courses as part of the curriculum. Rita went on to attend two different art institutes for a year and then went to college and grad school. She taught elementary school for 28 years. When her daughter was little Rita studied with local artists for a year. Painting was put on hold for many years. Then Rita retired and started painting again. She read everything about watercolor that she could find and joined the Annapolis Water Color Club. Rita has exhibited her work in many AWC and MFA shows as well as others, won some awards and has sold many paintings.
